Please join the Patent Committee of the of the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of Georgia at Alston & Bird (One Atlantic Center, 1201 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30309-3424) for lively panel discussion regarding recent patents cases before Supreme Court. Lunch will be provided.

The Supreme Court has taken on more patent cases in its past few terms that it has in the past. What trends are arising and why is driving the Court’s interest? How will recent decisions affect both client practice and litigation? This CLE will feature a discussion of the recent decisions inHalo Electronics, Inc. v. Pulse Electronics, Inc.,TC Heartland LLC v. Kraft Foods Group Brands LLC, and Impression Products, Inc. v. Lexmark International, Inc., the Court’s grant of petition for writ of certiorari in SAS Institute Inc. v. Lee, as well as other recent Supreme Court decisions. The panel will be moderated by Andrew Strickland of Lee & Hayes PLLC and include David Hricik of Mercer University School of Law and Taylor English Duma LLP, Stephen Kabakoff of Finnegan, and Daniel Kent of Kent & Risley LLC.
