Intellectual Property Law Section | Recent Updates on European Patent Law
Please join the Patent Committee of the IP Section of the State Bar of Georgia for a 1-hour lunch CLE presented by Berggren Oy on recent developments in patent law in Europe. The presentation will touch on patent prosecution strategies, the latest statistics on opt outs and the selection of Unitary patents with comparisons of different technology areas, licensing implications under the new system, and a review of some of the early decisions of the Unified Patent Court including granting of the first pan-European preliminary injunction.
Lunch will be provided.

Please join the In-House Committee of the IP Section of the State Bar of Georgia for the 2023 In-House Law Update. Joe Staley (Partner; Perilla, Knox & Hildebrandt), Justin Charles Ward (General Counsel; Blue Force Gear, Inc.), Robert Gravois (Assistant General Counsel, Intellectual Property; ADT, Inc.) and Michael Sochor (Senior Lead IP Counsel; Dexcom, Inc.) will be discussing some of the most important in-house law updates from the last year and the impact each has on their practices.

Nominations Open for the 2018 Intellectual Property Legends Award
Georgia State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association IP Sections, are pleased to announce that they are accepting nominations for the 2018 Intellectual Property Legends Award.
The IP Legends Award brings well-deserved recognition to outstanding members of the intellectual property community.
To nominate someone for the award, send your nominee’s bio and an explanation of why you think that person is an IP Legend, along with any other supporting information, to iplegends@gsuip.org. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, April 6, 2018.
